Services covered in this unit include 34 beds which belong to Urology, Radiation Therapy and
Gastroenterlogy. In addition, The Acute Medical Unit (7 beds) provides a high level of nursing care to pulmonology and patients with acute medical conditions that require frequent observation and close monitoring. A-3 provides nursing care primarily to adult patients and a selected group of hemodynamically stable pediatric patients, (see Criteria for Admission) with malignant and/or congenitally related diseases who require complex diagnostic workup, major complex surgery or treatment follow up.
Hours of operations:
24 hours daily, 7 days a week
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree or Diploma in Nursing, and
- Current nursing (RN) license in Canada or the United States, and
- A minimum of two years experience as a Registered Nurse working in a mid- to large-sized acute-care hospital in North America.
