Rashid Hospital Trauma Centre

Rashid Trauma Center, housed in the Rashid Hospital (which has 600 beds), sees 135,000 Emergency Room (ER) patients per year, has a trauma Operating Room (OR), a trauma Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and wards for post-trauma victims. Located in the heart of Dubai, most patients are primarily traffic accident and industrial accident victims. The facility is new, bright, and efficiently laid-out.

Employer: Rashid Hospital Trauma Centre
Location: Dubai, UAE

The Rashid Hospital is a 600-bed tertiary-care hospital. The Rashid Trauma Centre is part of the Rashid Hospital. It houses facilities for emergency medicine, surgery, and ICU and treats adults and children suffering multiple traumas. The Trauma Centre has approximately 135,000 patient visits per year, with an admission rate of approximately 10%.

The Emergency Medicine Physician manages emergency medicine and trauma patients; acts as triage coordinator in multi-person/disaster cases; has teaching responsibilities of all medical staff in the trauma centre.

One month locums available.

Requirements:

  • Medical Degree from a North American accredited medical school
  • Post-Graduate qualification in Emergency Medicine
  • Active membership in the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, Emergency Medicine, or The College of Family Physicians of Canada, CCFP (EM)
  • Minimum three years experience in a teaching trauma center. Management experience within the ED would be an asset. BCLS/ACLS is desirable
