Doha, Qatar
Doha, which is home to the majority of Qatar's population,
is the site of the large hospitals, the international
universities, the seat of government, and the international
hotels, is growing at a frenetic pace. Located on the
Persian Gulf, the 7 km walk beside the sea,
provides a tour of the seaside park, as well as a view of
the multiple fantastic buildings which are sprouting
everywhere.
Qatar has a population of approximately 1.9 million, of which
approximately 20% are nationals. The vast majority of the
population resides in the capital, Doha.
A peninsula, Qatar will appeal to water lovers. Ambitious
in the development of its educational and healthcare
infrastructure, it has invited American, Canadian, and
British institutions to set up programs.
Currently, it is undergoing a metamorphosis into a modern
metropolis with dramatic looking hotels and public
buildings. more
