The Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH), a 466-bed hospital located in the city of Barrie, approximately one hour north of Toronto.
RVH provides tertiary-care services to a large geographical area. Services include Oncology, Cardiac, Stroke Neonatal Intensive Care, Child & Youth Mental Health and more. The hospital is a Level III Trauma Centre.
RVH is a University of Toronto affiliated teaching hospital.
RVH is also home to a growing research program, supporting a multitude of disciplines across the hospital. RVH provides research support in areas such as study concept and design, statistical analysis, regulatory, ethics, and logistical planning for Investigator led projects, academic and industry clinical trials.
With the booming population in the Barrie area, RVH will be doubling its size over the next 10 years and building a new South Campus in the town of Innisfil, located about 20 minutes south of Barrie.
