The King Faisal Specialist Hospital - Medina is a new, 300-bed tertiary specialist hospital located in Medina, Saudi Arabia.

This new hospital opened in 2021, and is the newest campus of the King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre, whose other sites are in Riyadh and Jeddah.

Coordinates the provision of educational resources to provide safe, patient and family focused quality care in accordance with the American Nurses Association and Nursing Administration Scope & Standards of Practice.

Responsible for the performance management of Clinical Instructors.

Responsibilities:

  • Assesses clinical practice needs utilizing unit specific data, behavioural competencies and evidence based practice relating to specialty area, develops strategies and educational plans including cost benefit analyses that demonstrates improvement in patient care outcomes.
  • Designs evidence-based curriculum that includes critical and reflective thinking, Hospital’s vision and mission, and NA’s vision, mission, values and guiding principles.
  • Evaluates, modifies, implements and manages evidence based educational programs, strategies and assessment methods.
  • Evaluates externally produced curriculum and writes recommendations for suitability to internal implementation.
  • Participates in academic curriculum reviews from requesting university-based schools of nursing.
  • Participates in the orientation of new staff, nursing students, nurse interns, new graduate nurses and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participates in interdisciplinary efforts to address health care issues and educational needs locally, regionally, nationally, or internationally.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Nursing
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (online programs cannot be considered)
  • Current nursing (RN) license
  • Must have a minimum of six years recent experience as an RN in a tertiary setting, of which at least the past two years must be in a similar role
  • Must have experience in oncology nursing/education
